Read What The Customers Think About Us..

Lynne Walsh, London I took my family to Casanova's again last week - for the first time in many months. I have to confess that I've eaten in quite a few of Cardiff's good Italian restaurants (and several in Italy) this year, but I must have been crazy. The sheer quality of the food here is actually getting better - and it started very, very high. So - no more flirting with the other Italians in town; my heart (and tastebuds) belong to Casanova's...

The most fantastic Italian Restaurant in Cardiff, probably in Wales. Casanova is run by four young Italians who are passionate about their food. Finally an Italian restaurant without Spaghetti Bolognese and garlic bread on the menu! The food is wonderful, superbly cooked, beautifully presented and top quality. The kind of place where the most important thing is the quality of the food! I can highly recommend a visit here.

This small Italian restaurant, recently opened by four young men prides itself on offering a limited menu, but promoting fresh ingredients in all the cooking. The service is idiosyncratic, but the food is exceptionally tasty. The fish we ate was lemon sole, with chicory braised in butter and balsamic, with beautiful fresh carrots cooked in butter and caraway seeds.

"This place was recommended to me by an Italian friend of mine. This I thought was a good start and how right I was! Firstly, you could actually forget you were in Cardiff which for me is a big plus. Just down the road there's St Mary's street with it's drunken cave men. Whilst in Casanova you would never know. The food was out of this world. I've eaten in some good restaurants in my time and this place is up there with the best of them. In fact, it could be the best meal I've ever eaten. Try the veal with a reduced balsamic sauce. Plus the deserts are all home made. Service was also superb. Friendly and very professional. The guys there actually care what the customers think because they own the place. It's not some plastic Italian chain serving pizzas and dough balls. I've said the ambience is romantic but to be honest it pretty much lends itself to anything. If you're a Rugby team looking for a night out I'd give it a miss but pretty much everything else is covered. Price was good value considering the quality of the food, service and decor. Pizza express it isn't but you get what you pay for in my opinion. Thoroughly recommended!"
